What we've funded

Funds for the extra-curricular gardening club, a calm space for pupils, and a practical resource to support biology learning, reducing Science Department costs by growing produce for practical lessons.

We support a number of theatre trips to support students’ literacy, creativity and cultural capital, and support engagement with texts beyond the classroom including study days at the Globe and Kiln Theatres.

We bought 30 football kits, with full Prendergast School branding, for their football teams across years 7-11 These teams play in the Inner London Cup, Blackheath and Millwall Tournaments and football friendlies.

We bought 200 non-fiction books for the school library, to inspire younger readers and teachers and profit all.

Each year, we invite Dr Guy Sutton to lecture to both sixth form Biology and Psychology students. The students watch a brain dissection and tailored neuroscience lecture led by expert Dr Sutton, with a twilight session for parents and carers.

We funded a Times Tables Rock Stars maths package to promote numeracy skills for Year 7 pupils and raise the profile of STEM. It enables pupils to practice their timestables in an engaging way during tutor times.

We supported an off-timetable Enterprise Day with New Enterprise to develop employability skills for Year 8.

We contributed to new, much-loved trampolines for the PE department.

Materials Wellbeing Club Years 7-13 from origami, crochet, card games, and puzzles to craft activities as well as air dry clay and beading sets.

Annual funds to run STEM Club and workshops after school created for girls. Supporting female undergraduate mentors from Kings College London to guide and support through after school projects, a trip to Kings College London University, to meet undergraduates and postgraduates excelling in STEM, and part-funding a trip to Science Live.
